Additional Request Items
When you are making a new request, some Hospitals and Programs may require some additional information. There are three possible sections: Facility, Student Information, and Supporting Documents.
Note: Each of these items is mutually exclusive, so if your Hospital does want additional information you may only see one or two sections instead of all three.
Facility
If you see the Facility option on your page, you can click on the yellow binocular button to pull up the Search Facility pop-up window.
Click the yellow Search button to initiate the search. You can enter a facility name, or leave the box blank to view all available Facility choices at the Organization.
Once you have your search results, click the button next to one of the Facility names and click "Okay" to apply it. You can only select one Facility.
Once you click okay, the facility name and address (if provided to mCE) will fill the Facility bar to indicate it has officially been requested.
Student Information
If the Hospital requests student information, basic contact details need to be added into each of the Required sections.
After you enter the student's information and submit the request, an email will be sent to the address you enter informing the student they will need to get in contact with you for further directions.
Note: Entering student information into this section does not create an account for that student. If they are not already registered, they will need to create an account before they can be scheduled.
Supporting Documents
Some Hospitals may request documents at the time of placing the request in addition to once the student is officially assigned. If there are files the student is expected to sign, you will likely need to use the Save as Draft option and download the documents to share with the student.
Note: To download a document, just click on the file name. You will want to make sure you do not have any pop-up blockers preventing the download from the site.
Once all the appropriate files are prepared, you can associate them to the request by clicking the yellow Upload button. This will open a file browser for your computer, which you can navigate to locate the appropriate file.
Once all the additional sections are filled out in addition to the required items on the main request, you'll be all set to submit the request to the Hospital and move on to ensuring your student has completed the Student Registration.
